SUMMARY:Chicago’s 5th Annual NF Hope® Concert
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS\n \nChicago’s 5th Annual NF Hope® Concert\nSunday\, December 8\, 2024 @ 3:00 PM\n  \nThe NF Hope Concerts were founded by Jeff Leibow (from the hit Broadway show JERSEY BOYS) and his wife\, Melody after their daughter was born with Neurofibromatosis (NF)\, a genetic disorder of the nervous system characterized by tumors that can grow on any nerve in the body without warning. The Leibows conceived the idea for the concert upon the realization that they had an obligation to their daughter and the 128\,000 people living with NF in the US alone to educate others about the disorder. Since its inception in 2011\, the NF Hope® Concerts have raised nearly $2 Million for Neurofibromatosis research and advocacy. \nOver the last twelve years\, the NF Hope Concerts invited the biggest names in Las Vegas\, Chicago and New York to contribute their talents for the cause. This year\, the concert brings together Chicago’s best\, THE FOUR C NOTES (the premiere Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons tribute) and JESSY SCHRAM (star of Chicago Med). The event will be hosted by DANIEL TATAR (from the nationally recognized pop vocal group The Company Men) and JEFF LEIBOW (NF Hope Concert co-founder and former star of the Broadway hit musical\, JERSEY BOYS). \nProceeds from the event will benefit Neurofibromatosis Network\, an organization serving families and individuals suffering with the neurological disorder Neurofibromatosis (NF) \nFor more information\, visit https://nfhopechi24.givesmart.com \n\nTickets

SUMMARY:The Gingerbread Ball
DESCRIPTION:Starring:\nGinger and \nCaptain Rat and the Blind Rivets\nTICKETS\nKick your holiday season up a notch\, as the Madison Street Theater magically transforms into Madison Square Garden with two of the area’s finest retro cover bands. Join us as we take you on a sleigh ride of classic rock and holiday classics\, from early ‘60s American rock and roll to ‘80s glam rock – where mistletoe and tinsel meet pointy guitars and surfboards.  \nFriday\, December 6\n7:30\n$20\nCaptain Rat and the Blind Rivets\, stalwarts of the Champaign/Urbana music scene\, make a rare Chicago-area appearance for this special event. If you attended U of I at any point in the past 40 years\, you know these guys – they have been legends since 1980 for their boffo stage show\, featuring props\, silly hats\, funny faces\, zany antics\, and of course\, great ‘50s and ‘60s rock ‘n roll\, expertly performed. \nGinger hails from the Chicago-area directly\, and picks up right where the Blind Rivets leave off\, recreating the high-energy spectacle of ‘70s and ‘80s arena rock\, but up close and personal. Ginger’s motto is simple: the more ridiculous the better\, yet played with the utmost sincerity. Ginger will fill your “Heart” with the spirit of the season as they take you on a “Journey” aboard the “Trans-Siberian” express – unless you live in the “Styx\,”  we expect to see you there! \nTICKETS

Echo is also extraordinarily intelligent and a particularly excellent speller \nSHOW DESCRIPTION:\nEleemosynary probes the delicate relationship between three singular women: the grandmother\, Dorothea\, who has sought to assert her independence through strong-willed eccentricity; her brilliant daughter\, Artie (Artemis)\, who has fled the stifling domination of her mother; and Artie’s daughter\, Echo\, a child of exceptional intellect—and sensitivity—whom Artie has abandoned to an upbringing by Dorothea. As the play begins\, Dorothea has suffered a stroke\, and while Echo has re-established contact with her mother\, it is only through extended telephone conversations\, during which real issues are skirted and their talk is mostly about the precocious Echo’s single-minded domination of a national spelling contest. But\, in the end\, after Dorothea’s death\, both Artie and Echo come to accept their mutual need and summon the courage to try\, at last\, to build a life together—despite the risks and terrors that this holds for both of them after so many years of alienation and estrangement.

SUMMARY:Late Night Catechism
DESCRIPTION:Madison Street Theater Presents:\nLATE NIGHT CATECHISM\nSunday\, September 8th  3:00 pm\nGeneral Admission tickets: $35\nLate Nite Catechism is an uproariously funny play\, written by Vicki Quade and Maripat Donovan\, where the irrepressible Sister teaches class to a roomful of “students.” Throughout the course of the play the benevolent instructor rewards audience members for correct answers with glow-in-the-dark rosaries and other nifty prizes. Naughty students may well find themselves on stage sitting in a corner reflecting their actions. Now in its 28th year in Chicago\, Late Nite Catechism is a sharp satire\, but never mean. It’s simply an evening of fun and laughter. \n\nTICKETS HERE

SUMMARY:Rock and Roll Holiday Revue!
DESCRIPTION:Starring:\nGinger and Captain Rat and the Blind Rivets\nTICKETS\nKick your holiday season up a notch\, as the Madison Street Theater magically transforms into Madison Square Garden with two of the area’s finest retro cover bands. Join us as we take you on a sleigh ride of classic rock and holiday classics\, from early ‘60s American rock and roll to ‘80s glam rock – where mistletoe and tinsel meet pointy guitars and surfboards.  \n\nCaptain Rat and the Blind Rivets\, stalwarts of the Champaign/Urbana music scene\, make a rare Chicago-area appearance for this special event. \nTICKETS
